A CARAVAN
of wagon, of stallion,
ball and chain and the brave,
was traveling through a land,
scarce of trail,
and endless span…
Day by day,
the good, the bad and the ugly
braved weather by bold measure,
enduring together
ON CRUSADE
for the Promised Land…
Once Upon a Time,
at the end of the traveling band and seated on Mule,
the Youth
marveled with exceeding marvel
BY THE STARS,
twinkling an outline of his Long Lost Love,
on high,
as
slowly, softly, soundly,
he
sifted unto sleep
of
golden slumbers…
